Extended Hours Project

Ensuring that the population get the best possible healthcare is important to the GPs of St Andrews Medical Centre.  Through their innovative approach by working together within a federation they are ensuring that the residents of Eccles are in the vanguard of modernising health and social care services.   Eccles will benefit through a revolutionary way of providing healthcare.  Through its 3 GP practices and the visionary joint working between them, alongside patients and voluntary groups, patients will get quicker and more effective care.

As from 1st September 2016 patients will notice that they will be able to see a doctor from 6:30pm until 8:00pm on Mondays to Thursdays and 9:00am until 12:00pm on Saturdays.  This is not an emergency service. Patients will only be seen with an appointment.

Appointment types

We will offer pre-bookable GP appointments for working people who struggle to access our services in normal practice opening hours.  We will offer pre-bookable GP appointments for children with self-limiting illnesses who cannot be brought to the surgery during normal practice hours.
